82 viewsThis supposedly foolproof technique did not work well on the spar. The problem is that the back riveter does not put enough pressure on the metal to squeeze all the layers together and hold the rivet firmly up against the back side. The rivet bounces during riveting and the rivet head does not sit flush against the spar after riveting. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until I'd done far too many rivets. See later photos for the far superior arbor press riveting technique. I built another spar.
